Надзвичайно результативним, в плані знищення ворожої бронетехніки видалось 7 липня 2022 року для військовослужбовців 80-ї окремої десантно-штурмової бригади ДШВ ЗСУ. В результаті стрілецького бою, відбиваючи масований наступ противника на східному напрямку військові бригади, разом з доданими підрозділами, знищили 12 російських танків! А враховуючи те, що 6 липня хлопці з левом на шевроні спалили танк загарбників, виходить, що за два дні боїв, вони знищили більше ніж танкову роту! РОТУ – ЗА ДВА ДНІ БОЇВ! Бій, що почався саме 7 липня був важкий, потужний, драматичний. Московські окупанти з самого ранку наче з ланцюга зірвались. Вирішивши погратись у “Курську Дугу-2”, рушили на позиції ЗСУ танками, намагаючись вогнем і бронею проламати нашу оборону. Та на будь-яку силу знайдеться інша сила. Десантники, прорахувавши дії ворога, зуміли належно підготуватись до зустрічі з танковою армадою. І влаштували “гарячий” прийом. Перші два російських танки було знищено на початку наступу із засідки. Наступна група танків була спалена за допомогою РПГ, NLAW, і “Джавеліна”. Ще два - підбила артилерія. Але ворог вперто намагався лізти далі, плануючи захопити плацдарм та закріпитись. Щоб не допустити цього, 80 бригада, у взаємодії з іншими десантно-штурмовими підрозділами ЗСУ та артилерією, продовжувала завдавати ворогу вогневого ураження. Така тактична взаємодія дала розкішний результат. Протягом цього важкого дня десантники, разом з побратимами, ліквідували 12 танків, 5 БТРів і одну вантажівку окупантів. Зазнавши таких втрат, ворог "піджав хвоста" та відступив. The battle that began on July 7 was heavy, powerful, and dramatic. The Russian invaders, from the very morning, seemed to go mad. Maybe they decided to repeat famous battle from the WWII near Kursk. They moved to the Ukrainian forces positions with tanks, trying to break through our defense with fire. But for every force there is another force. The paratroopers, having foreseen the actions of the enemy, managed to prepare themselves for a meeting with the tank armada. They received a “hot welcome”, literally hellishly hot. The first two Russian tanks were destroyed at the beginning of the offensive when they were ambushed. The next group of tanks was burned with RPG, NLAW, and Javelin. Another two were hit by artillery. But the enemy stubbornly tried to move further, planning to seize the springboard and take hold. In order to prevent this, the 80th brigade, in cooperation with other airborne units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and artillery, kept on oppressing the enemy. And such tactical interaction gave a magnificent result. During that difficult day, the paratroopers together with their comrades eliminated 12 tanks, 5 armored personnel carriers and one truck of the invaders.
